A Marshall County jail escapee was arrested at a motel in Logan County Tuesday afternoon.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Office reports 38-year old Gregory Sullivan, of Bowling Green, was taken into custody at the Quality Inn Motel in Russellville after deputies received information that a wanted fugitive was at this location. He was wanted for second-degree escape, a Class D felony, after state police said he escaped the Marshall County Detention Center around 11:00 the night of March 15.
According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, when Sullivan escaped from the jail, he stole a truck and fled to Bowling Green where he was in hiding for some time. Deputies received information that Sullivan would be in a red Ram pickup truck behind the motel where he was arrested on a warrant.
Deputies say an investigation determined that the truck was stolen out of Marshall County around the time he escaped the jail. Sullivan also was reportedly found with approximately 35 grams of methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana also known as spice, hydrocodone pills, and drug paraphernalia.
He was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center and faces multiple additional charges including possession and trafficking meth and synthetic drugs.
