Police Ask For Help Locating Robbery Suspect

Authorities are looking for a Hopkinsville man in connection to a robbery on North Main Street in Hopkinsville that led to a shot being fired on March 17th.

Hopkinsville Police say 26-year-old Ronald Aldridge robbed the Marathon gas station at gunpoint then got into someone’s vehicle outside the business and pointed a gun at the owner and demanded him to drive.

The owner of the vehicle reportedly got into a fight with Aldridge and was able to take the gun from him and a shot was fired.

During the fight, police say the driver and Aldridge fell out of the vehicle causing the vehicle to roll down the roadway with no driver before coming to a stop.

Police say Aldridge then fled the area on foot leaving the gun.

It’s unknown at this time if Aldridge was shot during the fight over the gun.

Aldridge’s last known address was on Phelps Avenue in Hopkinsville. The owner of the vehicle was reportedly checked out at the scene by Christian County EMS for chest pains.

Aldridge is wanted on charges of first-degree robbery and kidnapping.
