City Council Applies For Greenway Expansion Grant

Hopkinsville could soon be finishing the Greenway project and one business is planning an expansion.

At Tuesday night’s City Council meeting, City Clerk Crissy Fletcher read the application for a federal transportation grant to complete the greenway to Tie Breaker Park.

Meanwhile, City Council voted to approve tax incentives for White Drive Motors and Steering.

click to download audioCouncilman Chuck Crabtree was the only vote against the incentive, saying they needed to send it back.

click to download audioCouncil also rezoned the old Kentucky New Era building on East 9th Street from industrial to commercial.

The first reading of the 5th Fire Station Bond Issue was passed as well.
