Visit Hopkinsville is among tourism offices receiving ARPA funds to help recruit sporting events to the state.
Visit Hopkinsville Executive Director Brooke Jung told Your News Edge that the TeamKentucky Sports group applied for and received funding Monday from Governor Andy Beshear.
One of the projects will help sports tourism across the Commonwealth.
Another project receiving funding is the ‘Just Add Water’ initiative.
Jung says she’s always looking for events and tournaments to bring to Hopkinsville through the TeamKentucky group.
