For the 7th year, families gathered at Debow Park for the Touch-A-Truck event hosted by Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation.
The event gives kids the opportunity to enjoy a number of equipment: police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, construction equipment, utility trucks, and army vehicles.
New Superintendent Toby Hudson with Parks & Rec said they had a good turnout at this year’s event, thanks to the sponsors.
Hudson said his favorite part of the Touch-A-Truck event is seeing the children smile, which keeps them going from year to year.
Marketing & Events Coordinator Rachel Sanders with Parks & Rec was on hand at the event taking pictures to post on their social media pages.

From Noon until 1:00 families with sensory sensitivities were able to enjoy the event with the sirens and lights turned off, which was made possible by Pennyroyal Center.
The entire event was sponsored by Huhtamak of Hopkinsville with Second Baptist Church providing a free hot dog lunch. There were also free snow cones, face painting, and more for the children to enjoy while at the event.
