Officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Lyon County Highway maintenance crew announced Wednesday that progress has been made in the repairs of a sinkhole along the right-of-way for I-24 eastbound.
It appeared Saturday at the 41-mile marker, and a natural spring was located below the Earth’s surface.
This crew plans to complete some work Thursday that will allow for the work zone to come down, before the start of the Memorial Day weekend and what’s expected to be a busy travel period Friday.
