Funeral Services for 68-year-old Kathy Skillion Payton of Cadiz will be Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, in Cadiz.
Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery in Trigg County.
Visitation will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, on Tuesday, June 13, after 4:00 p.m.

Kathy Skillion Payton passed away on:
Sunday, June 11, 2023, at River’s Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa.
Born December 5, 1954, in Cadiz, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Robert Skillion and Catherine Humphries Skillion. She retired from the Trigg County School system after working 27 years as the Food Service Director and as a Home Economics teacher. She earned her Master’s degree in Home Economics at Murray State University. Kathy was known for her bread and baked goods and sold them at the Farmers Market in Cadiz from 2005 to 2018. She had served as chairman of Trigg County Quilt Guild, was former co-chair for Relay for Life, and was a member of the Kentucky School Food Service Association. She always enjoyed hosting an annual Christmas Open House, with trees decorated in each room, after the parade in town. Kathy also helped chaperone CentriKid Camp and was a long-time member of Cadiz Baptist Church.
