The 72nd Western Kentucky State Fair returns to Hopkinsville in less than two weeks with many of the same family-friendly offerings to greet fairgoers as well as some new events.

One of the more noticeable changes will be a refreshing of the convention center and the construction of a new livestock barn that should be ready in time for opening day on June 23rd.

Fair board president Brad Hewell said the new barn is at the same location as the former one.

The Ms. Plus pageant returns on Monday, June 26 with truck and tractor pulls later in the week.
