Penny Jean Combs, age 66, of Crofton, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the University of Louisville Hospital of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2023, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Rev. David Tucker officiating and burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at 1:00 PM Friday, June 30, 2023. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Combs was born in Hopkinsville, on August 1, 1956, the daughter of the late John D. and Ruth Jean Chapman Cline. Penny was a Registered Nurse for National Health Corporation and the Christian County School System. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Barry Combs of Crofton; her daughter, Heather Winkler and her husband Wil of Crofton, her brother, Robert Hargrove of Brandon, Fla.; four grandchildren, Morgan Combs, William Winkler III, Kobe Winkler, and Madison “Pickle” Winkler; and her great-grandson, Hayden Combs.
