Kathy Parker, age 70 of Hopkinsville, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Hospice of Southern KY in Bowling Green after a short battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be held at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 8:00 AM with Rev. Junior Deason officiating and burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Parker was born January 29, 1953, in Gibson City, IL, the daughter of the late Roy Acree and Margaret Meadows Randa. She retired from Piggly Wiggly as the Deli Manager and attended Edgewood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Jimmy Lewis “Jim Bob” Parker in 2015.
Survivors include her son, Roy “Benjie” Parker, and his wife Stephanie of Hopkinsville; her daughter, Heather Spence, and her husband Adam of Bowling Green; her sisters, Marlena Deason of Hopkinsville, Diana Livingston of Gibson, IL; her grandchildren, Portlin, Parker, and Piper June.
