A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting police officers on South Kentucky Avenue in Hopkinsville Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old Jose Calcoy was seen pushing and shoving family members in the front yard of their home and when he was told to stop he ignored commands. He reportedly pushed officers off of him and would not put his hands behind his back, he was then tased twice times before he was taken into custody.
He was arrested and charged with third-degree assault of a police officer or probation officer, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
