A former Christian County High School All-State football player is part of the latest graduating class of the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training’s police academy.

Keyron Catlett, a member of the Owensboro Police Department, was part of the 540th class to graduate from the state’s training academy last week.

The 20-week academy class included major training areas such as patrol procedures, physical training, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, criminal law, traffic and DUI, firearms, criminal investigations, cultural awareness, and bias-related crimes.
