A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his mother on Phelps Avenue Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 30-year-old Phillip Robnett struck her in the face several times before picking her up and slamming her into a glass table. Police say the door to the apartment had been kicked open and the victim suffered several injuries and was unable to move much when they arrived.
He was located on the walking trail and was arrested and charged with second-degree assault (domestic violence).
