Two Pembroke men were charged after a burglary investigation on Wooldridge Road in Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 31-year-old William Webster and 30-year-old Dale Schultz forcefully entered a home by kicking in the backdoor.
When the men got inside Schultz reportedly pushed the woman inside against the wall and choked her. Webster reportedly pushed the woman with a baseball bat before him and Schultz fled the area.
Webster was later located on North Drive and after being arrested he was able to move around enough to move his handcuffs to the front of his body.
Police say Webster then ignored verbal commands while struggling with the two officers causing them to fall to the ground damaging their pants and a key fob and causing injuries to their hands and knees.
Schultz was arrested on West 18th Street and charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree strangulation, third-degree terroristic threatening, and third-degree criminal mischief.
Webster is charged with attempted third-degree escape, first-degree burglary, resisting arrest, two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of third-degree assault on a police officer.
