Police have released more information about a shooting on Boales Street in Hopkinsville that severely injured a man Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 23-year-old Jacobie Penman was shot in the foot but suffered injuries to his jaw during the shooting outside of an apartment at the intersection of Sarah Avenue just before 1 a.m.
Several shell casings were located in the roadway and in front of the apartment building that was also hit multiple times.
Penman was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health where he was later flown to a Nashville hospital. The full extent of his injuries was unknown but he is listed in stable condition.
