Woman Charged With Punching Hopkinsville Police Officer

A Hopkinsville woman was charged after she reportedly assaulted a police officer on South Liberty Street Wednesday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area for a panic alarm and found 54-year-old Janine Hahn who was in the middle of the road throwing things, cursing, and not following officers’ commands.

She reportedly told an officer to keep her gun close while not following the officer’s commands to stop.

Police say while she was being arrested she punched an officer in the face causing injuries to the officer’s face.

Hahn was arrested and charged with menacing, resisting arrest, criminal littering, and third-degree assault of a police officer.
