Harold Jett and his defense attorneys made a brief appearance in Wednesday morning’s session of Trigg County Circuit Court, further confirming a September 16-24, 2024 trial date remains on track.
He’s charged with multiple pursuit-related infractions and the October 2021 strangulation of his aunt, Mary Dullenty, and was apprehended at her residence.
Already successful in moving the trial from this past August to next year, defenders Amie Martinez and Rick Lawniczak told Judge Jamus Redd that there’s more to file before a jury is selected next fall. And they need a month to do so.
Redd said one precaution needed to be realized.
Jett’s next appearance in court will be 9 AM October 11.
