Although a 2024 opening date has not been announced for Hopkinsville’s Rural King, another business will set up shop inside the former Bradford Square Mall space.
Alex Justice, Sales and Leasing Associate of Goodman Real Estate Services Group, LLC, confirmed to Your News Edge that an Ashley Outlet store will take 20,510 square feet of space in the building. The nearest Ashley Outlet is located at 1153 Fort Campbell Boulevard in Clarksville, Tennessee.
An opening date for that store has not been established.
Rural King purchased the over 293,000-square-foot mall in 2022 and is planning to spend over $8 million to revitalize the entire building. The store will open in the former JCPenney space.
Rural King’s investment is expected to create 170 full-time jobs, with 55 positions to be associated with their store.
Nine retail spaces remain open in the mall space ranging from 840 square feet to just over 49,000 square feet.
Triple S Construction out of Hopkinsville is assisting with the renovation process inside the former mall space.
