Deputies have released the name of a Somerset woman that was flown to a Nashville hospital after a single-vehicle wreck on Cadiz Road Sunday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a car driven by 69-year-old Ruby Leidenheimer was eastbound when a medical problem caused her to run off the roadway hitting a drainage ditch, a fence, and two brick mailboxes before coming to a stop.
She was treated and transported to a waiting helicopter by Hopkinsville EMS that flew her to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
The wreck happened near the intersection of Eagle Way just after 11 am.
