Burial with full military honors will follow.

Lt Col Anthony “Tony” W. Thomas, USAF, Ret. passed away on:
4:40 PM, Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cadiz, KY
Born August 26, 1941, in the Lamasco community, Lyon County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Wallace Thomas and the late Ethelyn Cotton Thomas.
Tony graduated as a Salutatorian from Trigg County High School in 1959. He attended the University of Kentucky, studying mechanical engineering and graduating as a commissioned officer in the Air Force ROTC. He spent the next 20 years serving our country throughout the world, including Vietnam, as a pilot of multi-engine aircraft, his favorite being the Fat Albert C-130.
After serving in the Air Force, Tony returned to Cadiz and attended Murray State University, receiving his teaching certificate. He taught at Hopkinsville High School and then at Trigg County High School for several years. He was of the Baptist faith, was an avid reader, and enjoyed fishing and camping in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota and Canada.
