Alfred P. “Bobo” Cravens, age 92, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, in Lexington, KY. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Cravens was born in North Christian County, KY, on April 2, 1931, the son of the late Alfred Bingham and Nina Cavanah Cravens. Bobo was a local businessman and owner of Blue Streak Printers for over 50 years. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a business degree and served in the United States Marine Corps. He attended First United Methodist Church. Bobo was a member of the Kiwanis Club and served as a board member with the Salvation Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe B. Cravens; and his sister, Betty Ann Kirk.
Survivors include his son, Alfred “Al” Cravens of Lexington; and his grandson, Alfred “Bailey” Cravens of Lexington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Salvation Army, 313 E 7th St, Hopkinsville, Kentucky 42240.
