Chris Steger, age 59, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, September 29, 2023, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 28, 2023. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Steger was born in Hopkinsville, KY, on September 18, 1964, the son of Juanita Pullam and the late Pete Steger. He worked on electric motors at Phase Tech and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Steger.
In addition to his mother, Juanita Pullam of Hopkinsville, KY, survivors include his wife of ten years, Gladys Steger of Hopkinsville; his sons, Brad Steger (Jennifer Bilyeu) of Hopkinsville, Shawn Robertson (Julie) of Paducah, KY, James Robert Allen (Andrea) of Cadiz, KY, Chad Allen (Anni) of Aurora, KY; his daughters, Stephanie Belote (Boyd) of Hopkinsville, Kisha Gruhn (Chris) of Alabama; his stepmother, Fairy Mae Steger of Hopkinsville; his brothers, Robert Steger (Lori) of Glasgow, KY, Bubba Lynch (Johnna) of Russellville, KY; his sisters, Michelle Sipes (Robbie) of Hopkinsville, KY, Rita Mallory (Duard) of Hopkinsville, KY, Joetta Key of White Plains, KY; his grandchildren, Hunter Gruhn, Joshua Gruhn, Emily Gruhn, Daylyn Allen, Jordan Allen, Matthias Allen, James Robert Allen Jr., Kennedy Turner, Gracie Turner, Matthew Belote, Joshua Belote, Kinley Allen, Brianna Barber, Andrew Robertson, and Riley Robertson; and his great-grandchild, River Tapp.
