Mattie Nadean Pool Hill, age 88, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Christian Health Center of natural causes. Graveside services will be at 1:30 PM on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Fort Donelson National Cemetery. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Hill was born on August 27, 1935, in Cerulean, the daughter of the late Marion Frances and Rosa Viola Cook Pool. She was a homemaker and worked for many years as a cashier at KFC. Mattie was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Morris Hill; her brothers, William Pool and Raymond Pool; her sisters, Ruby Lovely, Virginia May, and Geno Day; and her granddaughter, Jena Hinton.
Survivors include her son, Michael Pool of Hopkinsville, her daughters, Pamela Hill Hinton and her husband James of Hopkinsville, Tammy Hill Cutchins and her husband Shawn of Milton, FL; her brother, Charles Pool of Dawson Springs, KY; her grandchildren, Jeff Hill, Chad Pool, Ashley Parks, Jade Hinton, Chelsea Cutchins, Jacob Hinton, Shawn Michael Cutchins; and her great-grandchildren, Lexi Pool, Presley Parks, Caroline Hall, and Olivia Hinton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Building Fund at Edgewood Baptist Church, 2300 Cadiz Road, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.
