Judy Maynard Kursave, age 54, passed away at her Hopkinsville home on October 1, 2023, at 12:15 a.m. with her family at her side.
Dogwood Funeral & Cremations of Hopkinsville is in charge of arrangements. As wished by Judy, no viewing services are scheduled for family and friends at this time.
A native of Nashville, TN, Judy was born on January 1, 1969, to her father, Arthur Maynard, and her mother, Peggy Sawyers Maynard.
Judy married David Richard Kursave on March 23, 2011. For the last six years of her life, she worked in several departments for Walmart. But for most of her adult life, Judy drove a semi-truck, reaching all the contiguous United States, and even parts of Canada. She saw more of this world than most get the opportunity to do so.
When she wasn’t working, Judy enjoyed baking, reading, hummingbirds, and crafting; especially crocheting. Judy made it a priority to help as many people as she could. Her kindness for others reached past the stars, touched the heavens, and will never be forgotten.
Judy is survived, in addition to her husband and mother, by her children, Jim Maddox of Oxford, AL, Brandon Maddox of Argo, AL, Nickie Asaro of Pell City, AL, Amber O’Brien of Marne, MI, and Kristen Kursave of Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters, Amy Richards of Navarre, FL, and Brenda Loftin of Nashville, TN; and a total of fourteen grandchildren.
