A traffic stop on North Fowler Avenue in Hopkinsville led to drug trafficking charges Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 52-year-old Vince Jenkins was stopped for a turn signal violation and during the stop, he was found to not have a license or proof of insurance.
After a search of the vehicle, marijuana, meth, a meth pipe, and 4 fentanyl pills were reportedly found.
Jenkins was arrested and charged with failure to or improper signal, obstructed vision and/or windshield, license to be in possession, failure to maintain required insurance, probation violation, possession of marijuana, trafficking meth, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and trafficking fentanyl.
Two passengers in the vehicle were also charged 27-year-old Charles Berry was charged with possession of marijuana, trafficking meth, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and trafficking fentanyl. 22-year-old Stacey Barnes was also charged with possession of marijuana, trafficking meth, and trafficking fentanyl.
