Police have released the name of an Oak Grove man who was charged after he took money from a woman at a gas station on Russellville Road in Hopkinsville Friday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say a woman was walking into Circle K when 31-year-old Jamarvis Allen grabbed $100 out of her hand and fled the area in a car. Allen was located on Calvin Drive.
Police say 32-year-old Darla Boyd was also charged in connection to the robbery after it was found she was a passenger in the vehicle with Allen and sent messages to someone stating the money was gone and the police would not find it.
She had reportedly originally told police that she didn’t know anything about the money that was taken.
Allen was taken into custody and charged with second-degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence. Boyd was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and tampering with physical evidence.
