Man Charged With Fleeing From Law Enforcement

A Christian County man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement after assaulting a woman on Old Madisonville Road Monday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 33-year-old Dustin Aliff assaulted a woman while driving down the road by grabbing her by her hair and telling her he would “cause them to wreck and kill them both.”.

When the vehicle was stopped on Old Madisonville Road he reportedly fled on foot into a field when deputies arrived.

He reportedly called in a false report of a home invasion at his home in an attempt to get deputies to leave the area but they were able to locate him in a tree line using law enforcement K9 Zico.

Deputies say an ambulance was called to take Aliff to the hospital due to a foot injury he got while running from deputies.

He is charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, falsely reporting, fourth-degree assault domestic violence, and resisting arrest.

Aliff was also found to have warrants for probation violation.
