Graveside services with military honors for 74-year-old George William Helton, of Cadiz, will be 2 PM Friday at Winchester Cemetery in Winchester.
Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour at Winchester’s Scobee Funeral Home.
King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Wife of 54 years, Ann Whitaker Helton, of Cadiz;
Two daughters, Cynthia Carol Helton and Sarah Ann Helton, both of Cadiz;
Two brothers-in-law, one sister-in-law, two nephews, two nieces, and numerous cousins and friends.
He was born in Stanton on December 8, 1948, to John Leonard Helton and Claudia Housley Helton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Stewart, and one nephew, Tony Stewart.
He died Monday, October 23, 2023, at the River’s Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa.
Helton was retired from civil service at Fort Campbell, a farmer and a US Air Force Veteran.
