A man was reportedly assaulted in an attempted robbery on Younglove Street in the area of Mechanic Street in Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the area for a report of shots fired and found a man who had a head injury and claimed someone assaulted him during a robbery.
The man was treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for his injuries.
No arrest has been made and no description of possible suspects has been released.
