Graveside services for 80-year-old William Carl Lockwood, of Cadiz, will be 11 AM Saturday in the Rolling Hills Cemetery of Eddyville.
Survivors include:
A sister, Virgie Wright, of Cadiz;
Brother-in-law, Larry M. Miller, of Las Vegas;
Two nephews, David Wright, of Cadiz, and Timmy (Susie) Wright, of Fort Knox;
Four nieces, Martha (Donald) Blakeley, of Cadiz, Cathy (David) Maddox, of Benton, Mona Bestwick, of La Habra, California, and Merry Cohn, of California;
And several great nieces and great nephews.
Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He died Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Bradford Heights Nursing & Rehab Center in Hopkinsville.
He was born July 10, 1943, in the Brandon community of “Between the Rivers” in Lyon County, as the son of the late Amos Leonard Lockwood and Nellie Mae Choat Lockwood.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking long walks and visiting the site of his old homeplace, as well as reminiscing about his time “Between the Rivers.” He was of the Baptist faith.
