Grand Jury Returns Assault And Forgery Indictments

The Christian County Grand Jury returned several indictments including on charges of assaulting an officer, forgery and theft.

A true bill was returned on 32-year Dedrick Deason Brodie, of Hopkinsville, on charges of alcohol intoxication in a public place, second-degree disorderly conduct, two counts of third-degree assault of a police/probation officer, resisting arrest, third-degree criminal mischief, menacing, and fourth-degree assault no injury.

The charges stem from September 24 when Oak Police responded to Winners Way for a disturbance in which Brodie was reportedly pushing people. Upon arrival, police said Brodie kicked an officer in the face and injured another officer while resisting arrest. Police reported that Brodie continued to fight with officers after being arrested at the jail.

26-year old Haley Poole, of Hopkinsville, was indicted on charges of theft of mail matter, theft by deception including cold checks over $1,000 under $10,000, first-degree unlawful access to a computer, theft – receipt of 2 or more stolen credit/debit cards, theft of identity without consent, and six counts of second-degree forgery.

And a true bill was returned on 25-year old Dinae Walker, of Nashville, Tennessee, on charges of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, and theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.
