Officials with the City of Hopkinsville have announced that it’s that time of year again.
Time to nominate candidates for Hopkinsville’s “Holiday Decoration” award.
Recognition will be given in two categories: “Best Decorated Residence,” which will go to 12 private homes and one in each ward, and “Best Decorated Business,” which will go to one sole victor.
Nominees, officials say, will be judged on use of decorations, creativity and overall theme.

All entries and nominees must be received by 3:30 PM, December 15.
All judging will take place the week of December 18, and announced on the Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page on December 20.
Winners will receive a certificate of recognition and will be featured in the media, Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page, and the city’s website.
The goal of the contest is to recognize the efforts of Hopkinsville residents and businesses, and to encourage community pride and holiday spirit.
