CCPS Officials Seek Input From Future CCHS Students As Construction Process Continues

As construction is underway for the new consolidated Christian County High School, school officials will be gaining input from the first students who will call that building home in 2026.

Superintendent Chris Bentzel told Your News Edge they will begin meeting with some high school freshmen this week.

As for the new school, one may notice the walls going up. Bentzel added district officials are already hard at work planning phase two – sports facilities.

As we head into December, Bentzel said the school board will begin considering the plan to move around other schools in the district. The projects must first be reflected in the district’s facility plan.

The next Christian County Public Schools board workshop will be held Thursday evening, December 7, at 6:00, in the Christian County Middle School Cafeteria.

The next regularly scheduled board meeting will be Thursday evening, December 21, at 6:00, in the board room at the district office on Glass Avenue in Hopkinsville.
