Heather Dawson, co-owner and founder of The Mixer in Hopkinsville, brought forth good news this Black Friday.
The popular downtown restaurant is reopening for business, December 31, New Year’s Eve.
Located at 114 E 6th Street, the venue suffered considerable wind damage this past March. And there were hopes of a remodel finishing before Thanksgiving.
Dawson announced that in order to celebrate, there is a silent auction for some seats, and they would be running this auction from noon until 6 PM Black Friday.
There will be two dinner seatings on New Year’s Eve, as well as live music from Cayce Burks and the Moonlight Band.
With the meal comes a five-course sneak peek of the menu’s return, as well as wine pairing with some of those meals.
Founders’ Table has eight seats for 5 PM or 8:15 PM, and its starting bid was $1,000.
Bar Booths One and Two have four seats each for 5 PM or 8:15 PM, and had starting bids of $500.
Bar Booths Three and Four have two seats each for 5 PM or 8:15 PM, and had a starting bid of $250.
In order to bid, one must send “The Mixer” either private messages on Facebook, or through their email address. And those who win will have “cool specials” at their tables.
Dawson also noted that general ticket sales for the reopening will be available at a later date.
