A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly fled from law enforcement on North Main Street in Hopkinsville Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they attempted to stop 48-year-old Carlos Martinez after receiving a report of a reckless driver and he fled swerving into the other lane before striking a curb and coming to a stop.
He reportedly tossed a bag of synthetic marijuana into the backseat, had the odor of alcohol coming from him, and was unsteady on his feet.
He was arrested and charged with failure to or improper signal, second-degree fleeing or evading police, no operator’s license, DUI, possession of synthetic drugs, and tampering with physical evidence.
