Main roads are in fair condition Monday morning, with secondary roads around the region slick and hazardous.
Emergency officials are reporting that I-24, the Breathitt Parkway, and other major roadways are in fair condition. Most roadways have at least one lane clear, with both lanes clear in many places. Secondary roads are slick and hazardous from a coating of snow that fell in the overnight hours.
Snow amounts ranged from one to two inches around the southern Pennyrile, with more snow accumulation in Tennessee.
Be on the lookout for slick spots on the roadways that may have been caused by the melting and refreezing of snow and ice.
City, county, and state road crews will be working through the day to improve road conditions with snow plows and salt.
