Family Displaced After Camper Fire

A family has been displaced after their camper caught fire on Sheena Avenue in Hopkinsville Friday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says they were called just before 2 p.m. for smoke coming from a camper and when they arrived they found a space heater had started the fire but it had been extinguished by neighbors who used snow to put out the fire.

The couch along with some cabinets were damaged in the fire causing the family of five to be temporarily displaced.
