A Hopkinsville man was charged with assaulting his girlfriend during an argument on Oak Tree Villa Drive Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Daniel Ray choked and pushed his girlfriend into a wall during an argument.
He reportedly claimed it was done in self-defense. Ray was arrested and charged with second-degree strangulation and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence).
