A Hopkinsville City councilwoman was indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury Friday.
A true bill was returned on Jamie Lienberger, of Hopkinsville, on a single count of tampering with a witness.
According to the indictment, between October 6 and October 27, Lienberger contacted an individual “she believed to be a witness in the legal process in an attempt to influence his testimony in a legal proceeding.”
Lienberger was arrested by Hopkinsville police in November on a complaint warrant charging her with tampering with a witness, a Class D Felony.
Lienberger serves Ward 9 and filed in December to seek another term.
