A Hopkinsville woman told police she was scammed out of over $4,000 Thursday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say the woman received a job offer and was ordered to send $4,000 for work items in return she received a check for $4,900 that was stopped by the bank for being not valid.
No arrest has been made but the report lists the charge as theft by unlawful taking.
