The regional pairings are now set for the Mingua Beef Jerky Girls Sweet 16 coming up in March at Rupp Arena in Lexington. The draw for the girls tournament was conducted Monday afternoon.
This year’s tournament will be played March 13 through March 16
For the 2nd Region champion, it will be a Thursday afternoon game at 1:30pm in the lower part of the Thursday bracket against the champions out of the 3rd Region. According to the latest RPI rankings, the top three teams in the 2nd Region are Henderson County, Lyon County, and Madisonville-North Hopkins, while the top three teams in the 3rd Region are Owensboro Catholic, Daviess County, and Meade County.
The winner of the game between the 2nd Region and the 3rd Region will play the winner of a game between the 9th Region and the 12th Region in the quarterfinals. The game between the 9th Region (Cooper, Covington Holy Cross, Notre Dame) and the 12th Region (Danville Christian, Pulaski County, Southwestern) will be played Thursday night at 8:30.

Region 10 (GRC, Montgomery County, Campbell County) vs Region 7 (Sacred Heart, Manual, Assumption)
Region 5 (Taylor County, Bardstown, Bethlehem) vs Region 15 (Pikeville, Johnson Central, Lawrence County)
Quarterfinals will be played Friday, March 15, with the semifinals and championship games to be played on Saturday, March 16.
Based on the current RPI rankings, the semifinals on Saturday could see matchups of Franklin-Simpson vs Anderson County and Pikeville vs Cooper.
