
This is what you call getting everyone involved in the game. Fourteen different players scored Thursday night as Heritage Christian picked up a 79-40 win over PACHEK. The win was the 14th of the season for the Warriors in their first season as a full-fledged member of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association.
HCA took control of the game late in the first quarter, closing out the first eight minutes with a 10-0 run to take a 26-6 lead.
The Warrior lead would continue to grow in the second quarter. HCA went into the locker room at the break holding a 29 point margin at 43-14.
A 9-0 run early in the third quarter moved the Warriors out to a 52-17 lead and brought the running clock into play. Heritage led 65-31 when the quarter ended.
The rest of the game played out quickly with the Warriors taking the 39-point win.
Jason Leek was the only Warrior to hit double figures with 18 points. Leek just missed a triple-double with 9 rebounds, 10 assists, and 6 steals. Bradley Boyd and Cash Bolinger added 8 points each.
HCA goes to 14-13 with the win. The Warriors travel to UHA to take on the Blazers Saturday afternoon.
