Robert “Bobby” Outland, age 80, of Fairview, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with Brother Kim Combs and Brother Steve Reed officiating and burial to follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Outland was born on February 12, 1944, in Cadiz, KY, the son of the late Robert Hall, Sr. and Dorothy Josephine Calhoun Outland. Bobby retired from Freudenberg Factory and served over 25 years as Chief at Fairview Fire Department. He was a member of Eastview Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Outland.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Dottie Cowan Outland of Fairview, KY; his sons, Steve Outland (Crystal) of Fairview, KY, Rodney Outland (Leah) of Fairview, KY; his brother, Raymond Outland (Vicky) of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Margaret Proffit of Trenton, KY; his five grandchildren; and his five great-grandchildren.
