Charles Walter Grabara, 86, of Crofton, died at 12:50 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Ahava Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee.
The family has chosen cremation with a private celebration of life service to be held at a later date. Dogwood Funerals & Cremations of Crofton is assisting with arrangements.
A native of Hammond, Indiana he was born on November 5, 1937, the son of the late Walter Grabara and Wanda Grelecki Grabara. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Centkowski.
After serving four years in the United States Army, he worked as a mechanic and coal miner before retiring from Auto Style Manufacturing as a forklift operator. He returned to work following his retirement and spent fifteen years as a mail carrier for Planters Bank.
Survivors include his wife: Anita Dunning Grabara of Crofton, KY; his sons, Kenneth (dede) Grabara of Crofton, KY and Ronald (Melissa) Grabara of Crofton, KY; his daughter, Nancy (Gary) Dossett of Crofton, KY; his sisters, Jenny (Patrick) McKernan of Morocco, IN and Stella Sobczak of Calumet City, IL. Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
