The Hopkinsville City Council Ward 5 Councilwoman faces a challenge from someone new to the political arena. Councilwoman Amy Craig and retired banker Shannon Trogden attended Monday night’s League of Women Voters debates to weigh in on issues facing the city.

Craig says there is one big concern in her ward and she hopes to be able to announce a solution soon.

The League of Women Voters is keeping all recorded footage of the debates up on its Facebook page through the Primary Election on May 21, 2024 to allow voters a chance to hear where the candidates stand on the issues.

The final night of City Council Forums will be Thursday from 5:00pm to 6:30pm with candidates from Ward 10 and Ward 12.
