A man and woman were charged with burglary after they were found inside of a vacant home on East 7th Street Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 41-year-old Renee Joynt who was seen walking around with a gun and found her and 62-year-old Ellis Rouse inside a vacant home.
They reportedly would not exit the house for the officer’s commands but did after a law enforcement K9 arrived.
Police say the home had damage to the walls and floor and human feces and urine were all over the home.
They were both arrested and charged with second-degree burglary. Joynt was also charged with resisting arrest.
