A Hopkinsville man was charged with trafficking drugs after a traffic stop on East 21st Street Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Jordan Hill because the temporary tag was expired on the vehicle and during the stop, a law enforcement K9 alerted on the vehicle for the presence of drugs.

Three M30 pills and synthetic marijuana were reportedly found in the vehicle. Police say as Hill was being booked in the jail he was also found to have a bag of meth in his shoe.

He is charged with no registration plates, failure to maintain required insurance, possession of fentanyl, trafficking meth, possession of synthetic drugs, first-degree promoting contraband, and tampering with physical evidence.
