The annual Take Kids Fishing Day in Cadiz has been canceled due to recent flooding and storm damage.
Pennyrile RC and D Coordinator Charles Turner made the announcement earlier this week after two rounds of severe thunderstorms moved through western Kentucky Sunday morning and evening. Turner cited flooding at West Cadiz Park and debris left behind as the floodwaters are receding.
Turner added the hope is for a better year in 2025 for Take Kid’s Fishing Day in Cadiz.
