Officials with the City of Cadiz announced on Monday afternoon that the Cadiz On Main position has once again come open for the community.

Applications will be taken through 4 PM Thursday, June 20, at Cadiz City Hall.

Heather Armbruster was hired and announced on May 22, following five applicants in the last cycle, and she is now the sixth to leave since Leida Tackett’s tenure in the role from 2009 until 2019.

The previous five: Casey Parrent, Darlene Butts, Ryan Clark, Janelle Nichols and Brianna Hyde.

From Mayor Todd King:

In related news, Thursday evening’s planned Trigg County Country Ham Festival Committee Meeting has been postponed.

Furthermore, King has confirmed that City Clerk Connie Allen offered her resignation last week — with her last day planned for the next Cadiz City Council meeting on July 2.

King told The News Edge that Allen was stepping away for health reasons, and that he would be looking to promote someone from within the city to the position.
