A Cadiz woman was charged with criminal abuse after an investigation into a 4-year-old found running down the road on North Tanyard Road Thursday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were investigating the child running down the road alone when they found this was the third time it had happened.
The child’s mother 26-year-old Breanna Mason had two other children that are younger and deputies say the floors in the home were dirty, the sink was full of dirty diapers, and the children had bug bites all over them.
The children were placed with a family member and Mason was arrested and charged with failure to notify address change to the Department of Transportation and three counts of second-degree criminal abuse.
